GAIN COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

BY MANAGING COMPLEXITY

The DSM Conference follows three goals: to introduce interested users to methods of complexity management, to discuss and progress new ideas in their research and application, and to  present use-cases and best practices of how complex systems can be managed efficiently.

To do so, all interested speakers are invited to submit an short paper for review until April 25, 2012. The scientific committee will return comments and their possible approval by June 1, 2012 at latest, providing both their experience to all authors and ensuring high quality of all contributions.

All contributions are planned as short papers (of three to five pages) that are subject to a review by an international committee. They are further to be backed up by a presentation consisting of a maximum of 16 slides. Both abstract and presentation will be included in the conference's proceedings. Please find the instructions for authors below.

Submission of your short paper

To submit a paper, please use our conference management system. For paper submission, please submit a MS word file according to the template provided in the authors' instructions by April 25, 2012. After your paper is accepted, we require you to submit your finalized short paper and your presentation (MS Word and MS Powerpoint).

Please note: The deadline for submission of final camera-ready papers and presentations is June 24, 2012. This is a fixed deadline only three weeks after the notification of acceptance.

Please do not forget that at least one author of your submission needs to register before June 24, 2012.

Information for speakers

All papers that were accepted are plenary presentations. Each speaker is allocated 20 minutes in total - we kindly ask you to present your paper during 15 minutes, leaving about 5 minutes to the end of your presentation to answer questions.

You can use the slides you have submitted as part of your publication. If these are sufficient for your presentation, we will have them ready at the venue for you. If you want to show a modified set (e.g. only a selection to have more time explaining the core idea or a refined example that you could not publish for nondisclosure reasons), you can bring a different set of slides on a USB drive. Please contact us well in advance before your presentation so we are able to cater for these changes.

We will provide a laptop computer with all necessary projection equipment. In case of any particular needs for your presentation, please do not hesitate to contact us.
