The DSM Conference 2008 is run and organized by Jönköping International Business School (JIBS), The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), and Technical University in Munich (TUM).

Jönköping International Business School
Jönköping International Business School (Sweden) conducts research and offers student and executive education, especially in the areas of entrepreneurship and business renewal. Having collaborated with the Institute for Product Development in the past, research in complexity management has been a research area of cooperation between both institutions. JIBS has 1800 full time students and 202 employees.

Technische Universität München, Institute for Product Development
Situated in the Faculty for Mechanical Engineering, the Institute for Product Development has been active in of design methodology research for over forty years now. As part of its core activities, the research group “Plegmatum” has been working on models, methods and tools to make complexity management more efficient and achievable.
The institute is part of the Technische Universität München, which was recently selected as an “Elite-Research Institute” by the Excellence Initiative by the German Federal and State Governments.

KTH
The Royal Institute of Technology is the largest and one of the most well-known technical oriented universities in Sweden, and well known all over the world. KTH was established already in 1826 and its present name was chosen in 1977. Today KTH provides one third of technical related research and education within technical areas. At present KTH has 12093 full year students, 1444 PhD students, and 3146 employees.

TESEON GmbH
An entrepreneurial spin-off of the Institute for Product Development, TESEON GmbH, provides assistance in accessing, understanding and taking advantage of complexity through consulting and software tool development.

RedTeam
RedTeam is a knowledge creation and knowledge provider in the area of managing complex systems. RedTeam offers support in problem solving and managing uncertainty in product development regarding organizational design, modularization of systems, product architectural design, and process design in product development.

The Design Society
The design society was founded to contribute to a broad and established understanding of development and design, and to promote the use of results and knowledge from research on engineering design for the good of humanity. The Design Society focuses on the promotion of cooperation between researchers, professionals and instructors, the organization of international and national conferences and workshops, and the establishment and support of "branches" (regional activities) and "special interest groups or SIGs" (international, thematically defined activities), the active support of research, practice, management, and continued education in development and design; the work of the Design Society furthermore is concerned with advocating publications and the promotion of their distribution, with the compilation of a knowledge database, and with the cooperation with other similar organizations.
