About SystemX

The Research Institute of Technology SystemX dedicated to the future system digital engineering is a powerful innovation engine for addressing the scientific and technological challenges of transport and mobility, communications, digital safety and energy markets. The involved academic and industrial Research teams are colocated on the “Saclay Cluster” and share the same ambition: strengthening the “Training-Research-Industry”momentum to generate major technology transfers and accelerate competitiveness, attractiveness and sustainability across companies and French business as a whole.

This newly R&T entity has been granted with 336 M€ as part of the French national investments for the future and has been certified by the SYSTEMATIC-PARIS-REGION competitiveness cluster. SystemX is also supported by local and regional authorities. The funding members are: Alstom, Renault, Bull, Kalray, Sherpa, OVH Global Solutions, Systematic Paris-Region, Inria, Institut Mines-Telecom and Campus Paris

Key figures: 15 R&D projects, 45 partners, 1 training program dedicated to engineering systems, 210 researchers by 2015.

About PS2E

Founded by industrial groups Air Liquide, EDF, TOTAL, Fives and academic organizations CEA, Ecole Centrale Paris, Mines Paris Tech, and University of Paris Sud, Paris Saclay Energy Efficiency (PS2E) is a research and education institute dedicated to flexibility and energy efficiency of industrial systems coupled with urban areas. At the Paris Saclay area, this institut will bring together research laboratories, simulation and demonstration platforms, and education acotrs in energy domain. The mais objectives of PS2E are 1) Developing the competitiveness of industrial facilities, mainly in metropolitan areas, by adapting industrial processes to intermittent energy supplies, 2) Pool energy synergies in industrial areas through optimal use of industrial networks to reduce energy consumption. 3) Make use of energy synergies between urban and industrial areas.
